Automatic vibrating sorting table

The automatic vibrating sorting tables, placed after the destemmer, remove the petioles and stalk fragments remaining in the harvest. Powered by two synchronised motors, they use vibrations to feed the debris onto an inclined perforated tray, while the berries pass through the perforations. They are designed for a maximum throughput of 30 tonnes per hour and are equipped with safety and easy-clean features. These tables also drain and spread the harvest, with a stainless steel structure and stabilised motorisation.
Automatic vibrating sorting tables are used after the destemmer to eliminate some of the stalks and stalk ends remaining in the harvest, which are larger than the berries that have not been eliminated by destemming.

The operating principle consists of setting up an assembly in resonance by means of two motors rotating at an identical frequency. The amplitude of the vibration generated allows the harvest to be distributed and the plant debris to move forward on a slightly inclined perforated plate.

The flow rates authorised by this technique, which is also used for reception bins or draining and spreading tables, do not exceed 30 t/h.

Operating principle

The main elements to be taken into account are :

Draining and spreading the grapes

At the entrance to the table is a grape harvest draining area comprising a spreading arm and a draining grid. The juice is collected in the pump located under the table and the de-stemmed harvest is guided towards the perforated vibrating plate.

The conveyor support

The stainless steel support, inclined towards the front, is made up of square perforations. These can be of decreasing size from the entrance to the exit of the table.
The berries pass through these perforations and are collected under the table in the harvest pump.
Plant debris larger than the perforations moves forward by vibration and falls to the end of the table.

Motorisation and vibration frequency

The perforated plate is fixed to the chassis by several "silentblocs" which absorb the vibrations created by the motorisation.
The chassis remains stable on the work surface, with only the top plate vibrating and setting the harvest in motion.

Cleaning and accessibility

Ease of cleaning is an important factor in the hygiene and lifespan of the table. Although the components cannot be dismantled, the various parts of the table must nevertheless be easily accessible for thorough cleaning.

Safety - Protection

The equipment must comply with current legislation.
In particular, they must have
  • emergency stop
  • protection of entry points
  • protection of motors and control elements
  • wheel locks for mobile equipment.
