Rotary screener
A rotary screener is a device used in wastewater treatment plants to remove solids from wastewater. It consists of a rotating cylindrical drum fitted with a fine mesh screener or grid. The drum rotates slowly, allowing the solids to be retained by the screener while the filtered water passes through. A system of scrapers or brushes is often incorporated to remove waste accumulated on the screener, depositing it in a waste bin. The mesh size of the sieve is chosen according to the size of the particles to be removed, ensuring precise, efficient filtration. Designed for continuous operation, it is made from corrosion- and wear-resistant materials such as stainless steel. This type of bar screener is commonly used for applications requiring fine, continuous separation of solids from wastewater.
